Financial incentives of up to $10,000 are now available to encourage businesses to employ new staff. This will help our local economy and create more jobs.
There is no higher priority for our community and for the Government than creating jobs. That means not only growing our economy, but also helping people become job ready.
I encourage local business owners to take advantage of the jobactive PaTH Program, including the new wage subsidies, to take on extra staff and grow their business.

Last week I announced another contract for the duplication of the Pacific Highway.
A new 3.5-kilometre two-lane service road will be built to allow traffic between Woodburn and Broadwater to move from the existing highway so major work can be carried out.
This is another sign that the Government is getting on with the job of finishing the highway by 2020.
