Jacaranda is fast approaching, it is on from Saturday 28th October till 5th November this year.
The Jacca ball was held on the 23rd of October. It was a wonderful evening with the presentation of the Jacaranda Queen and Junior candidates. It was an honour to be part of the evening.
I would like to wish Jacaranda Queen Candidates: Brielle Lentfer, Jozee Adamson, Bridgett Mawhirt, Alana Gordon, Emilee Wall, Erika Honnery, Rachael Noakes, and Junior contestants Leah Hallam, Tahlia O’Hara, Holly Blundell, Kailee Rose, Madeleine Howell & Madison Nicholl all the best.
This week I turned the first sod on the $1.8 million commitment I made for the upgrade of the Maclean Riverside Precinct.
This stage of this project will complete McLachlan Park at one end, and the Court House Riverfront Heritage Precinct at the other end.
Other work will include the Foreshore Promenade. Once this is completed the precinct will include a viewing platform, picnic shelter, seating and tables, access ramps, a riverside walk that will link the two ends of the park, terrace seating walls, lighting, shade tree and perennial planting. This is a great investment for Maclean.
