It is great to receive Category C Disaster Relief Funding from the Federal Government.
This means much more financial help to get our local businesses and community back on its feet.
Businesses and not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants of up to $15,000. It is available for businesses in Lismore CBD, North Lismore, South Lismore, Girards Hill and parts of East Lismore.

This is the first time Lismore has got Category C funding in more than 20 years.
These grants will help in our rebuild. A lot of work went into getting Category C approved so quickly. I thank everyone involved.

The Government has provided local flood relief funds with tax Deductable status.
This means donations to Lismore City Council’s Flood Appeal and other flood relief funds will be tax deductible and backdated to March 28.
The ATO has also initiated fast tracking of tax refunds for people affected by the flood.
Taxpayers and their agents will also have additional time to lodge income tax returns and activity statements.
