The growing community of Nana Glen now has a new playground, after a $205,000 investment by the Federal Government.
Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan said it is great news for the community and is a wonderful asset for everyone to enjoy.
“The playground includes a combination unit with slides, basket, infant swing, spinner, nature play obstacle course and shade sail,” Mr Hogan said.
“There is also a small car park, picnic setting and seating, footpaths and shade trees.”
“Nana Glen is a growing area, with the number of children at the school increasing, so the playground is very welcome.
Coffs Harbour City Council Mayor Councillor Paul Amos said it was fantastic to see the new playground and car park here at Len Towells Oval come to life.
“What I’m most excited about is the variety of new equipment here that will provide more diverse play opportunities for kids, as well as the new seating and shading that will make it a more comfortable meeting place for the community of Nana Glen,” Mayor Amos said.
“My thanks go out to everyone involved in this project, but especially Stephanie Luck and the Orara Valley Progress Association who were instrumental in gaining the grant from the Australian Government, in partnership with Coffs Council.”
