The Casino Food Co-op has completed a significant upgrade to their production facilities.
Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan today officially opened the new facility.
“I secured $1.55 million in Federal Government funding to put towards the construction of a state-of-the-art retail ready processing room,” Mr Hogan said.
“Casino Meatworks employs 1,000 people and this new facility will secure their jobs and create further local jobs.”
“This will provide a dedicated facility that will improve efficiency and provide for growth”
“Currently the meatworks supplies about 20 tonnes of retail ready product every week. This new facility will allow them to supply 100 tonnes per week.”
“This is a project supporting jobs and the local economy at a time it’s needed most.”
