Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan today announced a grant of almost $17,000 to the Minnie Water Wooli Surf Life Saving Club to purchase a new boat.
“This is great news for this volunteer club,” he said.
“The grant will allow the Minnie Water Wooli Surf Life Saving Club to expand its surf boat rowing programme.
“In the past 12 months, the club has expanded its surf boat programme and crews by more than 200 per cent by engaging with younger members of the community.
“I would like to thank the club and all its volunteers who keep our community safe in the water.”
The grant is from the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Programme.
