Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan today welcomed the announcement that disaster assistance funding has been made available for communities in the Clarence Valley that were affected by flooding which began on 28 March.
“This funding will help the Clarence Valley Council repair damage to vital infrastructure, like Lawrence and South Arm roads, that pose a significant risk to drivers.” Kevin Hogan said.
The following assistance is now available across the Northern Rivers:
- Support for affected local councils to help with the costs of cleaning up and restoring damaged essential public assets
- Freight subsidies for primary producers
- Help for eligible people whose homes or belongings have been damaged
- Concessional interest rate loans for small businesses, primary producers and non-profit organisations
