Woolgoolga United Football Club needed to upgrade their clubhouse to meet increasing demands. They wanted to extend the current roof and a build new storage room.
Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan announced $20,000 towards this project and has officially opened the finished project.
“By extending the current roof, it has created a whole new covered concrete area,” Mr Hogan said.
“The new storage room also adjoins the existing facility.”
“Woolgoolga United Football Club has 430 players registered in winter competitions and 830 players registered for the summer competition.”
“The fields are also used by 50 players of the Woolgoolga Cricket Club and are also used by local schools groups.”
“They are a fantastic community facilities and deserved an upgrade.”
“These new areas now provide cover for all of these players from sun, rain and storm as well as providing secure storage for all of the associated equipment.”
The Federal Government provided $20,000 through Stronger Communities Programme Round 5. Woolgoolga United Football Club also invested $60,000.
