Lismore PCYC relies heavily on volunteers to run their activities and programs. They want to provide them with the tools to be able to run the activities safely and with up-to-date resources.
Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan has announced funding to cover the cost of their qualifications, registrations and training.
“PCYC volunteers provide a fantastic service to our community,” Mr Hogan said.
“This funding will ensure volunteers will not be out of pocket for their qualifications, registrations and training.”
“They have a full gym, boxing classes, gymnastics program, driver training, martial arts, and a range of other activities for all ages and skill levels.”
“Volunteers are central to so many local organisations and provide important services in our community.”
“It is important to support the efforts of these organisations and the individuals that allow them to function.”
This funding was provided through the Federal Government’s Volunteer Grants program. For more information go to: https://www.communitygrants.gov.au/grants/volunteer-grants-activity-2021-volunteer-grants
