Federal member for Page Kevin Hogan is encouraging the community to have their say about the future of our region.
“This week, families have started to receive my Community2020 brochure in their mail. This is an opportunity for people to have their say about what they think the priorities should be for our region towards 2020 and beyond,” Mr Hogan said.
“I want to hear about the things that matter to our community and the ideas people have to make life simpler and easier in the Northern Rivers and Clarence Valley.”
“These are important decisions that must be made by the whole community.”
Mr Hogan said by 2020 the Government’s major infrastructure projects including the $5.6 billion duplication of the Pacific Highway between Ballina and Woolgoolga will be complete, as well as the upgrades of the Ballina, Casino and Lismore hospitals. The second bridge crossing of the Clarence River and new Grafton goal will also be built.
“I’m asking the community to imagine our future: what they think should be our next major infrastructure project, what they like about living in our region and what the government can do to further ease cost of living pressures,” Mr Hogan said.
To make it easy for people to participate in Community2020, they can either fill out the brochure and return it to 63 Molesworth Street Lismore, or complete it online at www.Community2020.com.au
