Clarence Pastoral & Agricultural Society Ltd (Grafton Show) is vitally important event for the Clarence Valley. It has been running since 1867 and is a time for our whole community to come together.
Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan today joined Grafton Show President Rex Green following the announcement of funding to assist the show bounce back this year.
“Grafton Show has received just under $18,000 through the Supporting Agricultural Shows and Field Days program,” Mr Hogan said.
“This funding is designed to reimburse costs for shows and field days who had to cancel because of COVID-19.”
“I am looking forward to seeing the Grafton Show return from Friday 23rd to Saturday 24th April 2021.”
“These events bring our families and farmers together, build community spirit and help bridge the divide between country and city.”
“They also help farmers stay competitive by providing an opportunity to share innovation and new ways of doing business.”
“Local shows are uniquely Australian and provide huge economic spin-offs for the local communities hosting them as well as opportunities for the businesses and services who exhibit.”
