Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan recently announced funding for 3 projects to ensure the contribution of our local servicemen and women is appropriately honoured.
“It is great to provide over $5,000 through the Saluting Their Service grant program to assist communities in Iluka, South Grafton and Ulmarra commemorate and honour those who have served.” Mr Hogan said.
“This grant provides $4,000 to South Grafton RSL Club for the relocation of the South Grafton Cenotaph.
Also funded through this round of the grants is $723 for the Ulmarra RSL Sub-Branch to install new plaques commemorating Australian service in Afghanistan, Iraq and East Timor.
The grant has also provided $649 to purchase and install a plaque in Iluka to commemorate HMAS Waree.
