THE HON. KEVIN HOGAN MP
FEDERAL MEMBER FOR PAGE
SHADOW ASSISTANT TREASURER
SHADOW MINISTER FOR FINANCIAL SERVICES
Media Release
Our veterans deserve better
Labor has proposed a major cut to veterans’ allied health services. Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan along with the Federal Nationals has called on the Government to reverse it.
The proposed $5,000 cap will not come close to covering the support many veterans need. For veterans managing service-related injuries and conditions, ongoing access to allied health services can be an essential part of their care.
We cannot risk leaving those who served our country without the support and treatment they deserve.
Mr Hogan has also called out the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs in Parliament last week for disrespectful treatment of veterans.
“Our veterans deserve respect, not dismissive behaviour from the Minister responsible for supporting them,” Mr Hogan said.
“Those who have served our country deserve to know that their government will stand behind them and ensure they can access the care they need.”
