Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan has welcomed new Federal Government incentives that will help local business hire young people in our community.
New wage subsidies are a key component of the Government’s new jobactive PaTH Program, which will be fully rolled out in April and will help up to 120,000 vulnerable young Australians through pre-employment training, internships and wage subsidies.
“Financial incentives of up to $10,000 are available to encourage businesses to employ new staff. This will help our local economy and in turn, create more jobs,” Mr Hogan said.
“There is no higher priority for our community and for the Government than creating jobs. That means not only growing our economy, but also help people become job ready.”
“I’m delighted to see these incentives are being improved to support more local employers to hire more workers.”
