Our Lady Help of Christians Primary School would like to install new outdoor play and learning spaces for students.
These new spaces would include a snakes and ladders game, a twister game, sensory prints and handball squares.
Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan said these new spaces would replace those that have been worn away.
“It was great to join members of the school community to announce $10,000 for this project,” Mr Hogan said.
“Our Lady Help of Christians also has plans to install learning based markings, such as a clock, compass and a caterpillar number line.”
“The installation of pavement art is great for outdoor learning and games.”
“It’s not only the students that will benefit, siblings and family members who visit the school will be able to use these new spaces.”
All schools across the electorate were encouraged to apply for this funding to make improvements to their school environment.
This funding program allows individual schools to nominate their own projects that make a big difference to the school community.
The Local Schools Community Fund is open to all schools but eligibility conditions will apply. Schools were able to lodge one application for each of their campuses. For future rounds, visit https://schools.education.gov.au/ to apply.
