Clarence Valley School Leaders were acknowledged today for the important role they play in school life by Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan.
“It was great to have 200 students and parents at the event today,” he said.
“These students play an important role in the life of their school community and it’s important to recognise them and thank them.
I would also like to thank my guest speaker Hayley Talbot who gave a very inspirational speech.
Earlier this year Hayley was named Clarence Valley Citizen of the Year, she is most well known for being the first person to solo kayak the full length of the Clarence River.
The journey was one of self-discovery and self-realisation, it took two years to prepare for and 2 weeks to complete. Along the way Hayley developed a strong mind, learnt to embrace life’s challenges and discovered a willingness to learn and grow.
Hayley also has had a background in corporate law, has marketed for luxury fashion brands, and currently runs two successful companies along with being a wife and mother to two young boys.”
