Rappville was devastated by a bushfire in late 2019. They said they needed more transport options to help children get to school and for better access to services.
It is great to announce today that Rappville Community Social Club will receive $180,000 to purchase a community bus.
“This funding will help residents get to more community events, It will help children get to the local school, and it will help the community recover.” Mr Hogan said.
“This funding has been jointly provided by the Commonwealth and State through the Bushfire Community Recovery and Resilience Fund (BCRRF).”
President of the Rappville Community Social Club David Newby said the new bus will be invaluable to the community.
“This funding will allow for the purchase of a bus with disability access, the new bus will allow access to services, increase student enrolments and bring the community closer together.”
