Casino’s St Mary’s Catholic College are now one step closer to a much needed state-of-art Science Block.
Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan today officially turned the sod on the new facility.
“The old science C block dates back to the late 1960’s and doesn’t meet the current needs of students or teachers,” Mr Hogan said.
“I secured a $3.6 million Federal Government grant, with the Parish and school community making up the balance of this $5 million project.”
“The new building will include classrooms that can easily be reconfigured to meet teaching needs and STEM General Learning collaborative spaces.”
“Students and teachers thrive when their schools have modern and up-to-date facilities, so I look forward to watching this progress.”
