Member for Page Kevin Hogan today has announced Government funding for essential advocacy and welfare services for veterans, serving members and their families, war widows and widowers in our community.
He said almost $2500 through the Building Excellence in Support and Training (BEST) grants program would fund Lismore City RSL Sub-Branch to continue to provide help and advice to the veteran community.
“Our local ex-service organisations are making a real difference in the lives of veterans and ADF personnel by providing essential services from a trusted source,” Mr Hogan said.
“This money will help fund salaries for trained advocates and pension staff, essential office supplies, computer equipment, internet access and other administrative needs.
“We are committed to providing ongoing support for our veterans, war widows and widowers, current serving Australian Defence Force personnel and their families in our community.
