Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan today announced a $90,000 grant for a two-day regional arts conference, ARTSTATE, to be held in Lismore in November.
“This conference will further cement Lismore and the Northern Rivers as the centre of arts in regional Australia,” he said.
“The two day conference will bring more than 200 delegates from across the country, which is great for our local arts community but also for local businesses and the economy.”
ARTSTATE is a new four-year project by Regional Arts NSW to shine a light on excellence in regional arts and to explore the exciting possibilities for arts and cultural development across the state.
The conference will include a festival program open to the community, commencing on Thursday evening with an opening event & extending through Sunday to maximise audiences and visitation.
