Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan today announced $8,700 grant for Surf Life Saving’s Far North Coast Branch to purchase a much needed Surf Rescue Jet ski.
“With the beach playing such an important role in our community this is great news.” Kevin Hogan said. “The new Jetski will make the beach safer for everyone who uses it.”
The grant is under the first round of the Stronger Communities Program.
Under the programme, community organisation can apply for grants of between $5000 and $20,000 for capital works.
The organisation must match the funding in either cash or “in kind” donations.
If an organisation is interested in applying, they must submit their application by Friday,
April 8 and inform Mr Hogan’s office. Funding will be delivered from July 2016.
