Federal Member for Page, Kevin Hogan, today met with executives of regional television broadcasters.
Kevin Hogan met with Prime Media Group’s CEO Ian Audsley and General Council & Company Secretary Emma McDonald and Win Network’s CEO Andrew Lancaster. A representative from NBN did not attend but are supportive of reform.
“I understand the importance of local commercial television broadcasters in regional areas like the Northern Rivers and Clarence Valley, including the role they play in providing local news and current affairs,” he said.
“While the Government and the broadcasters are currently discussing potential reform, I want to ensure that whatever the outcome, our community continues to receive a quality news service.”
