Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan has today welcomed his appointment by Agriculture Minister Barnaby to head a taskforce looking into expanding the role of farming co-operatives.
“The recent Agriculture white paper committed $13.8 Million to improving Agriculture Co-operatives. Our region has some of the best examples of successful Co-operatives with the Meatworks and NORCO two of our largest employers.” Kevin Hogan said.
“I look forward to working with farmers, Barnaby, and the department to strengthen our local Co-op and create new co-operatives across our region.
