Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan has emphasised the role the Chinese Free Trade Agreement will play in creating local jobs for Casino today in meetings with local exporters and Agriculture Minister, Barnaby Joyce.
“Barnaby and I met with the Meatworks, Richmond Dairies and New World foods, whom together, employ over 1500 people in Casino” Kevin Hogan said.
“With these companies exporting over 70% of their local produce, the Chinese Free Trade Agreement will make it easier for them to sell to China.
“This will secure not only the current jobs in the region, but will create more jobs for Casino and the Northern Rivers into the future.”
“It is also good for everyone who supplies these companies and all the local jobs that exist to service people who work there.
