Funding boost for Red Rock SLSC
Red Rock Surf Life Saving Club will receive $19,000 in Federal funding to improve safety and facilities for members, volunteers and visitors.
The funding was allocated for a new defibrillator to be installed outside the First Aid room, ensuring lifesaving equipment is easily accessible to locals and holidaymakers in an emergency. The Nippers training area that is currently open to the elements, will be enclosed. The upgrade will create a dedicated space for changerooms, lockers and a meeting and training area for young lifesavers.
Federal Member for Page, Kevin Hogan, said the funding will make a real difference for the Red Rock community.
“This funding will make the club safer and more functional for both volunteers and families.
“The new defibrillator will ensure the safety for beachgoers
“The upgraded Nippers area will give young volunteers better opportunities to learn and get involved.”
Mr Hogan was very proud to secure funding for these vital new additions to the club, and thanked club leaders, Greg and Samantha Sunserland and their team for their dedication to the safety of our community.
“Greg, Samantha and all the whole Red Rock SLSC volunteers do an incredible job keeping locals and visitors safe. This funding is about backing their work and helping locals continue to serve the community well into the future.”
