Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan today committed $30,000 to upgrade the Rushforth Soccer Complex in Grafton if the Turnbull-Joyce Government is re-elected.
Mr Hogan said the $30,000 upgrade of Rushforth Park Soccer Complex will support over 30 teams in the greater Grafton community.
“This project will foster community spirit and sporting excellence in our region, as well as provide a boost to tourism,” Mr Hogan said.
The funding will provide much needed electrical upgrades to improve on-field lighting, and ensure a continuous electricity supply to the grounds kitchen and change rooms.
“We all understand the benefits that sport has for both individuals and our community,” Mr Hogan said.
“That’s why it is important to me that this funding is delivered so local people can benefit from the personal growth, opportunities for excellence and greater closeness and team spirit only sports can provide.”
