Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan said Bonalbo & District Community Hall will benefit from Government funding for a new solar electricity system under the Solar Communities Program.
He said the hall has received more than $10,000 to install rooftop photovoltaic panels which would help to lower electricity costs and reduce carbon emissions.
“The Bonalbo Hall is a great community asset managed by the Hall Committee. This grant means the committee can focus on continuing to maintain the hall for the community, rather than trying to find money to pay power bills,” Mr Hogan said.
“This is a great initiative that will save this important community asset money and allow the hall to continue to serve our local community.”
