Families and farmers affected by this week’s bushfire in the Kyogle and Tenterfield shires can now apply for Disaster Recovery Assistance, the Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan said.
“While the full extent of the damage caused by the fires is still being determined, it’s important that we start helping people now,” Mr Hogan said.
“What we do know at this stage is that at least six homes have been destroyed and dozens of farm buildings, tractor machinery and fences have been burnt out in the blaze.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the many community groups across the Northern Rivers who have rallied to help those affected by the bushfires.”
