Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan today congratulated employment agency TURSA for developing a new website designed to help people with a disability find a job.
“This is a very user friendly site for people with a disability,” Mr Hogan said.
“I congratulate TURSA for their determination to help all local people find work.
“All the research shows that people with a disability make great employees. They take fewer sick days and are less likely to leave a job. This means companies do not have the expense of continually training people.
“However, people with a disability are under-represented in the workforce.
“The Federal Government wants to change this and this new website that TURSA has launched today will certainly make it easier for people with a disability search for work.”
The easy to navigate website features ReadSpeaker, which means every word on the website is also spoken. Users can also increase the size of words on the screen.
