Federal member for Page Kevin Hogan yesterday asked a question on behalf of Andrew Playford of Ballina during Question Time about the roll-out of the National Disability Insurance Scheme in Page.
Mr Playford submitted the question after Mr Hogan opened up Question Time to residents of the Page electorate.
“This is the second “constituency” question I have asked that has been submitted through my Facebook page,” Mr Hogan said.
“Social media has changed the way we all work, so why shouldn’t it change the way Question Time works and open it up for people living in Page to ask a minister about a specific local issue that concerns them and others in our community.”
Mr Playford’s question was: “Could the Minister please update the House on the full implementation of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, how successful the trial areas have been, and when will our community of Page be covered by this scheme?”
Mr Hogan put the question to the Minister for Social Services Christian Porter.
