Many vulnerable and disadvantaged families in the Clarence Valley are currently not using Child Care services, Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan said today.
“We need to find a way to attract more children from vulnerable and disadvantaged families to use Child Care services,” he said.
“That is why we are giving Clarence Valley Family Day Care a grant of $300,000 over three years to work with other organisations and families to address barriers to childcare.
“This grant will help to get more children into childcare.
“This is great news for those children and their families.”
Mr Hogan said Clarence Valley Family Day Care will also receive $600,000 over three years to develop and implement an action plan to transition to a more sustainable business model.
