Mallanganee’s Memorial Park is the new home to the Richmond Range Rugby Club. They have returned to the Far North Coast Rugby Union competition for the first time in eight years.
Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan said $130,000 will be spent to upgrade sports oval lighting at Mallanganee.
“The new lighting will be an exciting development for improved use of the oval by the community,” Mr Hogan said.
“Previously the Club had to hire portable lighting from Lismore when they needed to train under lights.”
“It is great to see Richmond Range Rugby Club back and this lighting will help them continue to grow.”
“This funding is designed to support councils deliver priority infrastructure projects to support jobs and help communities bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic.”
This funding has been allocated through the Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LRCI). Kyogle Council received over $1 million as part of the funding allocation.
