Federal member for Page Kevin Hogan congratulates NSW Minister for Resources and Energy Anthony Roberts for the decision to suspend Metgasco’s petroleum exploration and production licence at Bentley.
“The NSW Government has listened to our community’s concerns and has acted accordingly,” Mr Hogan said.
“I’ve continually said that CSG in Page is not appropriate. It has become a community issue not a political one, and I congratulate Mr Roberts for suspending Metgasco’s licence on the grounds that the company had not undertaken ‘genuine and effective consultation with the community’.”
