Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan today announced a $8700 grant for Surf Life Saving’s Far North Coast Branch to purchase a much needed Surf Rescue Jet ski for Yamba.
“With the water playing such an important role in our community this is great news,” he said.
“The new Jetski will make the beach and Lower Clarence safer for everyone who uses it.”
The grant is under the second round of the Stronger Communities Program.
Under the programme, community organisation can apply for grants of between $5000 and $20,000 for capital works.
The organisation must match the funding in either cash or “in kind” donations.
