Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan today announced a grant of more than $5000 to install hot showers in the club’s change rooms and a water tank to maintain its fields.
“Thousands of young people have played at the grounds over the years,” Mr Hogan.
“I am happy that players can now have a hot shower after the game and the water tank will allow the club to maintain its fields while minimising water costs.”
The grant is under the first round of the Stronger Communities Program.
Under the program, community organisations can apply for grants of between $5000 and $20,000 for capital works.
The organisation must match the funding in either cash or “in kind” donations.
If is interested in applying for a grant, submissions can be make at gms.infrastructure.gov.au/UI/PortalEntrance.aspx
