Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan said Corindi Beach-based Life Cell Marine Safety will now turbocharge its expansion plans, thanks to a $370,000 grant from the Coalition Government to help commercialise its new product Life Cell – an innovative marine safety device.
“Life Cell Marine Safety has developed an innovative life-saving product but needed financial support and expert advice to bring these bright ideas to market,” Mr Hogan said.
“This local company has showed a great deal of initiative in developing Life Cell to reduce the number of people who lose their lives at sea.
“Life Cell is a buoyancy device that stores all essential marine safety equipment and is designed to float-free from its bracket.
Mr Hogan said the Government’s Entrepreneurs Program will help commercialise this innovative product in overseas markets, thereby increasing export income for Australia and also improving marine safety globally.
“Innovation is central to the Coalition Government’s plan to grow the Australian economy and I’m very pleased to support Life Cell Marine Safety which is contributing to the success of our region,” he said.
