Funding boost for the Bollywood Express Curryfest Cabaret
The Curryfest Cabaret: The Bollywood Express has received a $20,000 funding boost through the Federal Festivals Australia program.
Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan said the funding would help showcase the community’s culture and creativity.
“This grant ensures Curryfest can deliver another spectacular celebration for its 20th anniversary,” Mr Hogan said. “The Cabaret will be a fantastic community event that showcases the diversity we have here in the region.
Mr Hogan said the funding is part of a broader commitment to supporting regional arts and cultural events.
“Festivals like Curryfest are vital for our community, connecting people. Attracting visitors to our region and promoting local tourism” he said.
The Cabaret will bring together local performers and community leaders, mixing music, dance, storytelling, and contemporary performance.
The festival will be held at the fully accessible Wiigulga Multipurpose Centre, ensuring everyone in the community can enjoy the Cabaret and take part in the great day of celebrations.
The project is funded by the Australian Government through the Festivals Australia Grant Program 2025–26.
