Coraki is in the process of a massive make-over. The Coraki Riverfront Precinct has included a new pontoon, boat ramp, and a concrete path to link the Caravan Park.
As part of this, the Coraki Caravan Park amenities needed an upgrade. The Federal Government provided a $550,000 grant to completely redevelop the site.
Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan today joined Richmond Valley Mayor Robert Mustow to officially open the new amenities block.
Mr Hogan said the upgrade is great news for tourists who come to visit and stay in Coraki.
“It has provided all-ability access to showers, laundry and a camp kitchen with a large deck,” he said.
“The upgrade has made it more attractive for visitors to Coraki. This means more customers for our local businesses.”
Cr Mustow said Council was grateful for the funding towards new amenities at the Coraki Riverside Caravan Park
“Council has invested substantially in the landscaping of the park grounds, as well as along the riverfront,” he said.
“Camping and caravanning are part of Australian life and we needed to make sure the Coraki Riverside Caravan Park kept pace with growing visitor demand.”
