Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan, today joined with Clunes Public School Principal Michelle Slee, to announce $15,000 to assist in building a new inclusive, imaginative playspace.
Mr Hogan said “I am thrilled to secure the final funding so we can start work and the Clunes school community will get the play space they deserve.”
“The new playspace will excite the senses of children across a wide age range and see children of all abilities playing side by side,” Kevin Hogan said.
Principal Michelle Slee said the school were thrilled to receive this grant and move forward on this long anticipated project.
“The new play area will be a special place where differences are accepted and all students can learn, play and imagine together,” Principal Slee said.
The project team plan to start construction works of the new playspace in the coming weeks.
“School communities nominated the projects they most wanted and the Government stepped up, with funding support through the $30.2 million Local Schools Community Fund,” Kevin Hogan concluded.
