Broadwater / Rileys Hill Hall Committee wanted to upgrade the tennis courts and turn it into a multi-sport facility. This would allow a wider group of people to use the courts.
Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan secured a $2,500 grant to assist with this project.
“It was fantastic to join committee members today to see the completed upgrades,” Mr Hogan said.
“This has transformed the old tennis courts into a flexible multi sports complex providing facilities for tennis, futsal, volleyball, hockey and netball.”
“Opening these facilities up to a wider group of users is a brilliant idea and will encourage a more healthy and active community.”
“This upgrade removed the existing fixed posts and replaced them with sleeves for removable posts to support the wider range of recreational activities.”
“This is a game changer for the Broadwater community and will breathe fresh life into the aged facility.”
“They can now host community game days, team training and local school students will have use of the new facilities.”
