Businesses in the Lismore region are set for a tourism boost, after today’s launch of ARTSTATE Lismore, a two day regional arts festival.
Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan said the ARTSTATE Lismore 2017 project is a significant investment in the region’s future.
“ARTSTATE Lismore 2017 will run until December 2, showcasing the strength and diversity of New South Wales arts. It will enable regional Australians to experience high-quality regional art and to take pride in creative cultural practice at all levels,” Mr Hogan said.
ARTSTATE Lismore 2017 is jointly funded by the Coalition government ($90,000), the New South Wales Government ($200,000), Lismore City Council ($25,000) and Regional Arts NSW Ltd ($70,000). In-kind contributions were also provided by Regional Arts NSW Ltd ($40,000) and Arts Northern Rivers ($10,000).
